Cole Cramer, a first grader at Utsalady Elementary, was “Principal for the Day” on Friday, March 5. Cole’s parents supported the Utsalady Booster Club by winning the bid on this privilege at last month’s auction. Cole wore an official nametag, carried a walkie-talkie and ate pizza in the staff lounge. He checked on classrooms, led an evacuation drill and was on morning announcements. He gave a couple of raises, was interviewed by school paper reporters and monitored the lunchroom. Cole learned that the role of principal ® was a busy one.
