Eager beach explorers are invited for nighttime beach walks, an adventure on familiar shorelines that turn magical at night, as amazing creatures are uncovered during the nighttime low tides of winter. Families can immerse themselves in the chilly ambiance of a starlight beach while exploring new wonders as the water recedes, then warmup afterwards with a hot cup of cocoa with time to share discoveries. WSU Beach Watchers and the Snohomish County Surface Water Management will lead the adventure at Kayak Point County Park, Friday, Feb. 26, 7:30 – 9 p.m. Bring flashlights, rain gear and wear warm layers, and sturdy footwear or rubber boots. This is a free event. For more information contact Chrys Bertolotto, WSU Snohomish County Extension Beach Watchers, at 425-357-6020, or visit www.beachwatchers.wsu. 022p1.jpg
