People For Puget Sound's Sound Stewardship Program adopted four Snohomish County restoration sites for long-term stewardship in 2007 and one of them is Kayak Point. They are now seeking volunteers to help remove invasive ivy and help improve the wildlife habitat features at the park at 15610 Marine Dr. A work party is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 22 along with a Beach EXPO with handson education booths and guided low-tide beach walks. PFPS provides tools, gloves and training. Space for the work teams is limited so RSVP ASAP to Gail at register@pugetsound.org. 026p1_xlg.jpg
