American Legion Auxiliary Junior Poppy Girl Lauren Lund asks the public to accept and wear a poppy with pride this Memorial weekend. Poppies are handmade by veterans in hospitals and are being sold at Haggens and QFC grocery stores. Lauren comes from a large family of veterans and legion members, and has been a member for 12 years. She is the daughter of Jeannie and Dave Lund of Stanwood.
