JAMES THEMO SCAFTURON

June 4, 1923 - January 21, 2012

Jim Themo Scafturon fulfilled his wish to die at home on Camano Island with his wife Connie at his side.

A teamster for 38 years, he retired from George Scofield Concrete Co. in 1986.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stath (Steven) and Effie Scafturon, and sister Mary Christine Walsmith.

Jim is survived by his wife of 68 years, Connie; children Steven (Laura) of Roseburg, Ore., Carol of Juneau, Alaska, Kevin (Laura) of Roy, Wash., Randy (Kim) of Tacoma, a and foster daughter Darlene of Everett; seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, sisters Thea Taylor and Annie (Keith) Walker, sister-in-law Louise Roemer, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 12115 Park Ave. S., across from Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, 253-537-0201.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, Camano Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
