A Vietnam War vet and 1971 graduate of Stanwood High School, Roger Roney has joined a team of volunteers to help start Pilchuck Hot Rod Academy in Smokey Point.
“I love cars and really want to help people,” Roney said.

Stanwood Police reported the following activity last week:
• A vehicle parked in the 7400 block of 272nd Street NW was struck Jan. 12 by a vehicle that left the scene without leaving any contact information.
• A vehicle parked in the 27000 block of 104th Drive NW was impounded Jan. 13 because it was parked illegally. Full Story
