Park fundraiser brought in $500
Dear Editor:
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who turned out to support the effort to raise funds for the replacement of the playground equipment lost to fire at the Lake Goodwin Community Park.
This event was put together on short notice and received wonderful support with donations of all supplies by Silvana Meats, Stanwood Haggen Foods, Stanwood QFC, Total Rentals Everett and thanks to Snohomish County Parks rangers and director, Tom Tiegen for all his hard work.
In just two hours we raised just over $500.
I know more events are planned in the community, together we will be able to replace the equipment lost.
Please say thank you to these businesses when you have the opportunity.
