CASA dog wash a success

Dear Editor:

The Camano Animal Shelter Association held its fourth annual dog wash Aug. 21.

Thanks to more than 65 volunteers and a wonderful supportive community, 141 dogs were washed, 25 micro chipped and 79 had their nails clipped.

This fundraiser, together with contributions from people who could not attend, raised $4,188 for CASA.

Special thanks to Bathing Beauties Mobile Pet Salon and Krista’s Pet Spaw for nail-clipping.

We also want to thank IGA, Spare Room, Camano Storage, Stanwood/Camano NEWS and the Crab Cracker for the publicity that brought the customers.

We are grateful to the merchants who allow us to hang posters for our various events.

The Stanwood/Camano community came together to show their support for CASA and all it does to help the homeless cats and dogs of Camano Island. Thank you.
