House
A-frame should be on front of the NEWS
Dear Editor:
We have lived on Camano Island 18 years and have been looking all over the island for a house that my daughter and grandchild would be comfortable living in.
They are from San Diego and wish to live close to mom and dad.
We noticed an A-frame house at 1073 Ellie Lane. Full Story
Thanks

Cycling
A harrowing experience
Dear Editor:
We had the misfortune to ride through Stanwood this week on our way to La Conner - and what a ride it was!
One driver laid on their horn as we stopped for a light, another honked and yelled at us for being in the turn lane instead of being out in the middle of traffic on a torn up street in the middle of a construction zone. Full Story
Signs
Littering is not patriotic
Dear Editor:
Without a permit, it is unlawful to put signage, or anything else for that matter, on public property, especially along public roadways.
The public land/roadway extends well beyond the paved portion. Anything left on public land is litter. Littering is not patriotic.

Prop 1
Let’s donate what we can
Dear Editor:
I was dismayed to read that Proposition 1 was voted down by my fellow Island County residents.
I fear deeply for the future of our islands and am willing to do my part to protect vital services. I have taken the amount of money that I would have been taxed had this proposition passed and donated it to Island County. Full Story
