Vehicle prowls on the hill

Stanwood Police saw the following action last week:

• A briefcase and sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle during a prowl that occurred in the 8100 block of 280th Place NW Aug. 27.

• In the same neighborhood that day, a purse containing a checkbook and driver’s license was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 28500 block of 72nd Drive NW.

• A 17-year-old Stanwood boy in the 27500 block of 78th Avenue NW was referred Aug. 27 on assault charges after he shoved his mother up against the wall because she woke him with a glass of ice water.

• On Aug. 28, police responded to a disturbance complaint in the 8300 block of 272nd Street NW. Two males had a verbal argument over one of them bouncing a small ball in the house.

• A bicycle was reported stolen Aug. 29 from the side of a residence in the 27300 block of 102nd Avenue NW.

• Two marine batteries were stolen Aug. 29 and fuel lines were cut in a boat in the 7300 block of 281st Place NW.

• On Aug. 29, a parent in the 7300 block of 282nd Place NW reported her 16- year-old daughter had run away. She returned home the following day.

• A verbal disturbance occurred Aug. 30 in the 27700 block of 85th Drive NW.

• An investigation continues after a business in the 27000 block of 92nd Avenue NW reported Aug. 31 that they received a forged check.

• A 26-year-old Everett man in the 10200 block of SR 532 was referred Aug. 31 for driving with a suspended license.

• On Sept. 1, a 19-year old Stanwood male in the 7300 block of 282nd Place NW was referred for domestic violence assault after an altercation with his sister.

• A 47-year-old Oregon man in the 27300 block of 102nd Drive NW was booked Sept. 2 for domestic violence assault after he assaulted his 10-year-old daughter.

• On Sept. 3, a 15-yearold Stanwood girl in the 8700 block of 271st Street NW was referred for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
