FLOYD WAYNE CASHMER
January 31, 1925 - August 24, 2010
Floyd Wayne Cashmer, 85, passed away August 24, 2010.
He was born January 31, 1925, to Floyd Dewey and Ada Louise (Steel) Cashmer in Missoula, Mont., where he lived until joining the U.S. Navy when he was 17 years old.
Floyd served in the Navy Sub service, Sub S-46, in the Pacific during World War II, as a Quartermaster Second Class. Upon discharge from the Navy, he was a logger, plumber and ceiling texture sprayer.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2100 and Redmen.
He lived in Everett and on Camano Island since 1949, and was an avid salmon fisherman.
Floyd is survived by his son, Kim Cashmer and wife Pam of Clermont, Fla., sister Helen Reardon and her husband Chuck of Everett and extended family members Dolores McMul-len, Bill Hall, Burta Johnson and their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death b by his companion of 35 years, Doris Hall.
A memorial gathering begins 6 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 31 at Everett's VFW Hall, 2711 Oakes Ave, Everett.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
