Leatherheads Pub is offering live music on Fridays and Saturdays through September, with Don Mailloux performing folk and rock starting 6:30 p.m., Sept 3; Steal Thunder plays rock & roll starting 8 p.m., Sept. 4; Rich Rorex and friend will perform contemporary jazz standards, 7 p.m., Sept 18; a Seattle blues band, Brian Lee & the Orbiters start 8 p.m., Sept 25; a former state Senior Fiddle Champion Walt Werme & friends will perform Celtic music and more starting 6 p.m. Sept 24. Acoustic guitar duo Richard Rorex & Greg Murat perform familiar contemporary, jazz and more 7 p.m., Sept 28, and Dennis and Ava perform folk/rock at an “Informal Music Evening” 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29. Conway Muse
At the Muse in Conway on Labor Day weekend it’s Marvin J on Friday, and Janie and Joe on Saturday, both in the Parlor. Sunday, a classical guitar and flamenco concert with Andre Feriante and Swil Kanim, violin, in the Renaissance Room, 7 p.m., $15 at the door.
Original music at Hometown Hootenanny
A Songwriters’ Showcase is slated for the Sept. 10, at the Hometown Hootenanny at the Historic Everett Theatre in Everett.
Original compositions by Hometown band favorites Jeremy Randall and Mark Hibbert and Seattle-area songwriter Daniel Kamas. Rachel Mae, who was a hit at the July 2 Hootenanny, returns with her whole band, which combines a distinctive Nashville sound with Snohomish County roots.
Other featured artists include local singer/songwriters Brooke Pennock, Bob Bourgoin, and Brian Fleming, and a special guest appearance by Nomad Fish, a musical ensemble with an eclectic feel and a strong local following.
Advance tickets for the Hometown Hootenanny are priced at $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students, and $5 for kids 12 and younger. Flex Pass, available at www. redcurtainfoundation.org, offers five shows for only $50, a savings of up to 33 percent off regular adult prices. A special family package of two adult and two child/student tickets (up to age 18) is available online only at the reduced price of $37.50.
