Lewis seeks write-in votes
Laura Lewis has announced her candidacy for the 10th District in the State House of Representatives, Position 1, as a Democrat. She is a write-in candidate and needs 600 votes to get on the fall ballot.
Lewis decided to run because she felt it was important to have more than one candidate on the ballot for any particular office. Full Story

Cash tax payments no longer an option at Camano Annex
Island County will no longer be accepting cash payments for property taxes at the Camano Annex, said Island County Treasurer Linda Riffe.
Riffe said the service of providing cash payments had become too cumbersome at the satellite office to the county seat since she had no deputized treasurer
on Camano. The new rule
went into effect without delay last week. Full Story
