I have lived in this district a long time. I was a fire commissioner for 35 years. I have had to use their services many times. These firemen and paramedics are very professional on their calls.

Tax increase for Camano Island
Dear Editor
Island County is asking Camano voters to approve a huge permanent tax increase for county expenses.
The current rate of 59 cents per $1,000 of assessed value would go up by 16 cents to a total of 75 cents if the proposal is approved.
That is an increase of 27 percent, but that is just the beginning. Full Story

I drove to Whidbey Island last week and saw a roadside sign that said:

The sign concerns me, as Island County government does not provide any funds at all for EMS on Camano Island, as confirmed by our fire chief. Full Story
