Ready, set, go! Fair season off to a dashing start

The race was on at the Silvana Community Fair on Saturday as kids tested their foot speed against each other during the oneday event at Viking Hall. Other activities included a greased pole contest and livestock judging. This year’s fair was dedicated to long-time volunteer Rhonda Knudson, who succumbed to breast cancer last year. During the ceremony, Knudson was described as a “dependable, dedicated, energy-filled mother, wife and daughter, all the way to the end.”
