Commissioners, elected officials freeze salaries
It’s official: After a bout or two of uncertainty, the salaries of Island County’s elected officials are frozen.
Commissioners unanimously approved the ordinance last Monday, saving the county $28,000 by eliminating the automatic 5 percent increase that occurs each odd-numbered year. Full Story
