Neighbors call police on young lover dispute
Stanwood Police reports
the following activities last
week:
• Police investigated a reported disturbance July 19 in the 27700 block of 101st Avenue NW when a boyfriend and girlfriend were having an argument.
• A wallet found in the 26900 block of 88th Avenue NW on July 10 was turned in to the police department on July 16.
• An 18-year-old Stanwood man in the 8700 block of SR 532 was referred July 17 on possession of drug paraphernalia charges.
• On July 20, a burglary occurred in the 7500 block of 267th Street NW where a padlock on a shed was cut off and some food items were removed and scattered about.
• A burglary occurred July 20 in the 26700 block of 98th Drive NW where a padlock was cut off and entry was made.
• A woman in the 9700 block of 272nd Place NW reported July 20 that she had lost her passport.
• On July 20, a 27-yearold Stanwood man in the 8000 block of 272nd Street NW was booked on harassment charges (a felony), after verbally abusing patrons. He was told to leave because he was not welcome there.
• An 18-year-old Stanwood man in the 8600 block of 271st Street NW was referred on possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia July 20. The contraband was discovered during a pat down for safety precautions while police were responding to a fight.
• A 24-year-old Stanwood man was referred July 21 on driving with a suspended license after he was stopped in the 7100 block of 267th Street NW.
• A vehicle lost control July 22 coming around a corner in the 6800 block of 276th Street NW, uprooting two small trees and striking a utility pole before coming to a stop. The driver had a permit only and was issued an infraction for no valid operator’s license.
• Police made contact July 22 with a despondent 25-year-old female in the 26900 block of 103rd Drive NW, when she was refusing to take her medication.
