CHRISTOPHER SCOTT McLAUGHlIN
Nov. 15, 1962 - July 12, 2010 Christopher McLaughlin was born to Larry and Mary McLaughlin in Spokane November 15, 1962, and left this earth suddenly and unexpectedly on July 12, 2010.
He was raised in Spokane and graduated as valedictorian from North Central High School in 1981. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Washington in 1985.
In life, he was an avid fisherman who enjoyed building models, playing the piano, computers, cooking and cheering on the A’s, Huskies and Mariners.
Irna, his loving wife of 21 years, daughter Miyako, and son J.T. of Stanwood, mother Mary and brother Kevin of Spokane, and numerous extended family members and friends survive him.
He was preceded in death by his father Larry and grandparents Frank and Miyako Teraoka and Charles & Marie McLaughlin.
A celebration of life potluck has been planned for Saturday, July 24, from 1-3 p.m. at Henning Beach, 728 S. West Camano Dr., Camano Island. Please bring an appetizer or a dessert to share (no peanut products) and come in your comfy sweats / shorts and sports tees in honor of Christopher.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or C.A.S.T. for Kids (www.castforkids. org), which provides disadvantaged children the opportunity to learn to fish.
We miss you very much Christopher but know that you will always be with us.
