Final phase of mental health parity law takes effect
The third and final phase of Washington state’s 2005 Mental Health Parity Law took effect July 1.
Since then, any limits on the number of office visits or inpatient hospital days to treat mental disorders must be removed from all stateregulated health plans, unless the limits also apply to other health services. Full Story
JAY KERSHNER
February 21, 1941 – July 02, 2010
Jay Kershner, loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend, fell asleep on July 20, 2010, to never wake again.
Born in Spokane to Ira Kershner and Marie Zumhoff, Jay lived most of his life in Stanwood.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Adee, six children, three siblings, and many grandchildren. Full Story

CHRISTOPHER SCOTT McLAUGHlIN
Christopher McLaughlin was born to Larry and Mary McLaughlin in Spokane November 15, 1962, and left this earth suddenly and unexpectedly on July 12, 2010.
He was raised in Spokane and graduated as valedictorian from North Central High School in 1981. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Washington in 1985. Full Story
