New display ad deadlines

will be converting to a new electronic data manager called Vision Data for the July 16 edition. The new system will require display ad deadlines to change from 4 p.m. on Thursdays to 2 p.m. However, it will expand classified deadlines from 4 p.m. on Thursdays to noon on Fridays for assertion into the Advertiser. A case of the jitters brings I-5 to a halt
Freeway traffic came to a standstill Wednesday afternoon after a man traveling from Everett on Interstate 5 noticed an unfamiliar object inside his car.
He pulled off the northbound lanes at the Highway 532 exit near Stanwood and alerted authorities. Full Story

Island County seeks proposals for grants to be funded by its Lodging Excise Tax program.
