HADY S. BENNETT

DECEMBER 3, 1932 – JUNE 4, 2010

Hady S. Bennett was born December 3, 1932 in Cologne, Germany to Eugene Lang and Elsa Barther. Hady passed away in her home on June 4, 2010.

Hady was the widow of Michael H. Bennett, mother of daughter Yvonne M. Thue (Adams) and son Lewis B. Adams (Carmen Adams), grandmother of Joseph M. Thue, Daniel B. Adams, David A. Thue, Joshua A. Adams, Heidi M. Seymour (Adams), Jennifer H. Adams and Jessica A. Adams, greatgrandmother of 12 greatgrandchildren and friend to her parrot of many decades, Bummer.

Hady immigrated to the United States in 1953, making her home in Eastern Washington. She loved animals and kept in her home cats, tropical fish, gold fish, guinea pigs, dogs, parakeets and parrots over the years. Each canine Hady raised lived to a ripe old age, most likely due to her excellent care of them.

She loved to garden and was happiest when her hands were in the dirt. She loved cut flowers, even when her very young children would give her bouquets of Scotch Broom (to which she was highly allergic).

As the years went by, Hady found it harder to work in her garden so she turned to container gardening, house plants and growing orchids and cacti.

Prior to her passing, Hady requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

We love you, mom. Thank you for the valiant fight over the last six years to give us more memories. You were one mighty, strong woman and will never be forgotten by your family and friends.
