Four students were apprehended Monday evening while breaking into the Church Creek campus of Stanwood High School.
Stanwood Police Chief Ty Trenary said the department received the call from Sonitrol, the security system provider, around 5 p.m.
Officers responded, Trenary said, and located two male suspects around the back of the building. The boys said their two friends had gained entry through the roof and were inside.
Officers found the boys near the teachers’ lounge, Trenary said. No real damage was done, except a broken bench, and nothing appeared to be missing.
School district officials were also on site, and confirmed that aside from some bracelets found in the suspects’ possession, nothing was stolen.
Trenary said all four boys were high school age, and three were from Stanwood. One was from out of the area.
The boys were released to their parents after being referred to Snohomish County Juvenile Corrections department for commercial burglary.
