State results will be published June 8

Results from the three state championships were not available for inclusion in this week’s NEWS
due to an early holiday deadline.
Sports editor John Galbreath spent the Memorial Day weekend on site in Tacoma where Spartan softball and track and field teams competed in their respective state meets.
In addition, he monitored the Washington State Girls’ Tennis Championships in Kennewick as Stanwood sophomore Megan Lalone sought the 4A tennis title at Kamiakin High School.
All results will be published in next week’s NEWS.
