Cancer study
Thanks to Stanwood for helping find cure
Dear Editor:
I’d like to thank the community for its support in the Cancer Prevention Study 3 (CPS-3) enrollment at Relay for Life.
We had a goal of 192 people and we enrolled 194.
By doing this study you are providing vital information and playing a significant role in finding a cure for cancer, as well as creating a healthier future for generations to come!
I’d also like to thank the committee members for their extra support and patience with this event. Their time and dedication was commendable.
A sincere thanks to the NEWS
and especially Adam Stewart for taking the time to understand what this event was all about and helping to inform the community about a wonderful opportunity.
Finally, I’d like to offer the biggest thanks to the team of volunteers that worked tirelessly that night: Stacey McKinley-Lipinski, Diana Kempf, Aimee Dailer Heckman, Kristi Dailer, Jason Walter, Kim Hayes, Linda Rudy, Jennifer Clem, Roger Clem, Andy Rudy, Jeff Heckman, Becky Walter and most especially Debbie Garcea, for being there every step of the way.
You are all rock stars!
If you missed the CPS-3 enrollment, you can also sign up at the Kent Relay at Kent Meridian High School, 5-9 p.m., June 4.
It is your chance to fight back.
Thanks again Stanwood and Camano Island.
