New ad representative

Janae Brown Janae Brown of Warm Beach was recently promoted at the NEWS to advertising representative.

Brown, 52, joined the NEWS staff seven years ago as a part-time receptionist after retiring from a 22-year career as a flight attendant.

She will continue her part-time position as a receptionist while doing inside sales, which includes service directory, theme pages, special sections and more.

“It’s an exciting opportunity and will give me new challenges,” said Brown.

She has been married to Tony Brown for 26 years who owns Speedway Marine in Smokey Point. They have three adult children, one of which is getting married in December.
