San Juan County Sheriff’s office has released photos from a security camera on Lopez Island’s Spencer’s Landing Marina San Juan County. The photos were taken on May 15 at about 1:40 a.m., and show a young man walking along one of the docks.
The sheriff’s department believes the young man is Colton Harris-Moore.
On the morning of May 16, a sport fishing boat was stolen from a private marina on Lopez and found floating abandoned off Camano Island. Harris-Moore is a prime suspect, according to Sheriff Bill Cumming’s press release.
Harris-Moore, 19, is wanted in connection with multiple crimes in San Juan, Island and Snohomish counties, and has also been linked to airplanes stolen from Anacortes, Idaho and British Columbia. He is suspected in connection with thefts totaling as much as $1.5 million in value.
He’s evaded capture since April 2008, when he escaped from a halfway house in Renton, and has since sparked his own Facebook fan page and fringe loyalties.
