Sixth in state
 Stanwood’s FFA agricultural mechanics team consisting of Ashley Rich, Cassie Gunerious, Cory Calkins, Brenden Ballard and Alyssa Tompson recently placed sixth at the state competition. The contest includes knowledge and problem-solving tests, as well as hands-on applications in welding, electrical circuits and motors, chemical applicators, small gas engines, hydraulics and farm management practices. In the individual competition, Ashley Rich finished in eighth place.
