Marriage announced
 Ashley Magill and Richard Fortney exchanged wedding vows May 1 in the Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas and are making their first home in Wasilla, Alaska. A reception will be held Aug. 7 at the bride’s grandparents’ home on Camano Island. Attending the couple as maid of honor and best man, were Tanecia Webster and Brandon Fortney. Thirty-five family and friends attended the wedding ceremony.Parents of the newly weds are Suzy and John Magill of Stanwood, and Traci and Dave Weisz of Wasilla, Cathy and Rick Fortney of Kenai, Alaska, and Katrina and Craig Boag of Wenatchee. The bride graduated from Kenai High School in 2005, and is graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2011 from the University of Alaska Southeast. She is employed in the family business, “Three Bears.” The groom graduated from Cascade High School in Everett in 2002, and works as an oilfield operator for Chevron. The couple met in July 2004 in Alaska, introduced by a mutual friend, Lindsey Fortney, and announced their engagement April 28 in Las Vegas.
