Stanwood motorcyclist dies in collision

A collision on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Smokey Point (milepost 204) claimed the life of Scott Weber of Stanwood on Wednesday.

Weber, 51, was driving his motorcycle in the right lane when a construction truck pulled off the far-right shoulder in front of him, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

The accident occurred at 1:24 p.m.

Weber was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was pronounced dead.

The WSP major accident investigation team is investigating the accident. Detectives are looking for witnesses to events leading up to the actual collision.
