Spring Art Show
This year’s Spring Art Show, presented by Stanwood Camano Arts Guild, is at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center, at 27130 102nd Ave. NW, in the west end of Stanwood. The show opens with a patrons’ party 6-9 p.m. June 4, with music provided by Paul Nyenhuis on his hand carved flutes, hors d’oeuvres and a nohost wine bar. at Maryhill
Janet Wold, of Marysville works out of The Corner Studio and Gallery at 2831 Wetmore Ave. in downtown Everett, and is now presenting a group show of horses in many media to benefit Equine Rescue. The show will continue through June 12, at least, Wold said.
A former resident of Stanwood, celebrated glass artist William Morris has fused hot glass and Northwest flora and fauna in 38 vessels inspired by three Pacific Northwest microclimates: the Steens Mountain region, the Sisters area, both in Oregon, and the north Cascades. These works of the George R. Stroemple Collection are on display through the summer at the Maryhill Museum, off SR 97, 12 miles south of Goldendale, in the Columbia River Gorge June 12 – Sept. 6. Artists’ Garage Sale
moves to Everett
After 15 years in Mukilteo, the Arts Council of Snohomish County is moving its 16th annual Artists’ Garage Sale to Everett. After starting in the back yard of an artist, the event moved to Rosehill Community Center and with construction of a new community center underway there, this year, the event will be in the arts council’s new home, the Schack Art Center, at 2921 Hoyt Ave., in Everett. Before interior construction begins this summer, the open interior will provide space for artists who want to set up tables, with booths outside along the block of Hoyt Avenue between Hewitt and Wall streets, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturday, June 5.
