$5,000 raised to help families
Dear Editor: The Stanwood Ambas- sadors of Housing Hope recently held our annual Voices of Hope concert.
We are grateful to the many people in our community who helped make the concert a success!
We raised over $5,000, which will help homeless and low-income families with the housing and services they need to regain selfsufficiency.
We would like to thank our generous sponsors, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Twin City Foods, St. Cecilia Catholic Church for hosting the event, the wonderful choirs and their directors from schools, churches and the community, and to Erik Ronning for providing the inspiration for this event 14 years ago and for directing multiple choirs, acting as this year’s emcee, and for the beautiful duet with his wife Anna.
We also thank those who provided delicious baked goodies and the many guests who enjoyed both the concert and the bake sale. Finally, a special thanks goes to Della Tiede for organizing this year’s concert.
