Stanwood Middle School (SMS) has been inducted into the Walsworth Gallery of Excellence for their 2009-2010 yearbook. Only a small percentage of books are chosen for the distinction. SMS is one of three schools chosen from over 40 area middle schools.
Yearbooks selected for the gallery are distinguished by their comprehensive coverage, innovative design and superior copy and photographs. Stanwood Middle School yearbook accomplished the criteria and is a representative of yearbooks from across the country.
As part of the honor, the SMS yearbook will be shared with many people in various ways. It will be used nationwide for quality examples, loaned to schools to serve for idea generators, and displayed at regional, state, and national conventions and workshops. The Stanwood Middle School yearbook staff consists of 28 seventh- and eighth-grade students.
Students must complete an
application and recommendation
forms to be selected
for the class. The yearbook
adviser is Jennifer Harlan.
