Lady Washington and the Hawaiian Chieftain, replica sailing ships, will be visiting Cama Beach State Park for one day only, Mon, May 24. Camano Sail and Power’s charter sloop and various privately owned sailboats will be on hand to observe from the water. If other boaters come to the show by water, they are asked to please stay out of the way of the big ships. The blast of the blank cannons can harm hearing. People can pay for a ride and being on board during the battle. Offering a taste of 18th century maritime life, a ticket is required for all passengers, including babes in arms. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Guests will be transported to and from the ships via longboat and will climb a Jacob’s ladder to reach the deck. Not recommended for those with difficulty walking, climbing, or standing. For reservations e-mail historicseaport.org.
