National Day of Prayer

May 6 was National Day of Prayer. Several hundred people met for a concert of prayer at noon in the parking lot at Haggen Food and Pharmacy, the largest crowd organizers could remember. Led by Ed McDowell, executive director of Warm Beach Christian Camp, they petitioned God on behalf of the nation’s government, military, media, education systems and economic recovery. They also prayed for youth, families and churches. Pastor Mike Tarsi, of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, led the opening prayer and Pastor Emmit Glanz, of Mountain Top Ministries closed the session in prayer. Worship music was provided by PrayerSong and Dr. Jonathan Hansen of World Ministries International gave a benediction. May 6 was National Day of Prayer.
