Mother ’s Day Art Tour

Paula Newman, owner and designer of Organic Gems, displayS her handmade jewelry under blue skies and high piles of white clouds during the 12th annual Camano Arts Association Mother’s Day Studio Tour. Featuring 35 studios and galleries showcasing the work of 61 local artists, the free, self-guided tour winds through the natural settings that inspire much of the artwork on display. Maps are available at the Terry’s Corner information booth, as well as in local businesses around Stanwood and on Camano Island. Organized through the Camano Arts Association and sponsored by several local businesses, the studio tour has become a traditional opportunity to meet the art community this area is noted for. This year, for the first time, an encore weekend tour is scheduled May 15 and 16. All studios and galleries will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. PHOTO BY JEREMIAH OPaula Newman, owner and designer of Organic Gems, displayS her handmade jewelry under blue skies and high piles of white clouds during the 12th annual Camano Arts Association Mother’s Day Studio Tour.
