Voices of Hope
Local school and church choirs in the 14th annual Voices of Hope choral benefit concert and bake sale at St. Cecilia Catholic Church April 18 raised more than $5,000.
The recent Voices of Hope choral benefit concert and bake sale produced over $5,000 in proceeds; $1,000 of proceeds came in the form of a sponsorship from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
All proceeds benefited Housing Hope’s Lervick Family Village, located in Stanwood. The event took place at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Stanwood.
This year marks the 14th anniversary of the opening of Lervick Family Village. Built in 1996, Lervick Family Village provides homes for 14 families in need of emergency, transitional and permanent housing.
These families are given the social service support needed to become self-sufficient. There are currently 15 children residing at Lervick Family Village, ranging in age from toddlers to teenagers.
The concert and bake sale are always organized by Housing Hope’s Stanwood Ambassadors, a long-standing committee of volunteers supporting Lervick Family Village.
Stanwood High School choir director Erik Ronning served as emcee of the event and again directed the concert as well. The program included performances by local school and church choirs.
