Frog Heaven by Karan Bush selected for art show poster
Primarily a painter of still life, wildlife and floral subjects, Karan Bush gets much of her inspiration from area wildlife, her travels and her own gardens surrounding her island home.
Her painting, “Frog Heaven” will be featured on the poster of the upcoming Spring Art Show presented by the Stanwood - Camano Arts Guild. Full Story
CASA moving forward

an abrupt change in Camano Animal Shelter Association’s (CASA) board of directors, the shelter is back on its feet, said Martha Huyler, president.

Orca Network is sponsoring a special protest May 15 in Coupeville on Whidbey Island, to raise awareness of Lolita, an L pod whale who was captured in Penn Cove in August 1970 and is the sole survivor of all Southern Resident orcas captured for the marine park industry.
