Easter
Thanks to the community for help, donations
Dear Editor:
On Saturday, April 3, I had the pleasure of coordinating Camano Chapel’s annual Easter egg hunt. Over 180 kids, ages 2-10 years, enjoyed hunting 3,000 treat filled eggs.
There was a story time, an “Easter bunny sighting,” countless door prizes, and a gourmet hot dog lunch for the entire family (we served almost 400!). Full Story

Whidbey Bank
Thanks for being friendly to small business
Dear Editor:
I would like to thank Whidbey Island Bank for hosting a wonderful Mexican fiesta for their customers at the Camano branch on April 13. The food was fantastic. The event was well attended by people who were wonderful to talk to. We ran into several of our own customers who hired us to put granite or cabinets in their homes. Full Story
Land trust
Help preserve 6,000 acres
Dear Editor:
Nine years ago the Whidbey Camano Land Trust played a crucial role in saving our beloved Saratoga Woods from development.
Since then they have run up an impressive record of preserving over 6,000 acres on our precious islands.
Obviously, these successes would not have been possible without the enthusiastic support of our community. Full Story
Military
Thanks to those serving our country
Dear Editor:

Some have completed their enlistment, some have had multiple deployments and some are just going into the various branches of service at this time. Full Story
