PRISCILLA MARGARET HARRINGTON
Priscilla Margaret Harrington was relieved of her earthly struggle with Alzheimer’s on Saturday, April 17, 2010 and entered into her heavenly reward.
Her husband Ronald Harrington and family are very grateful to God for this mercy.
A woman of great warmth and caring, she loved her family and everyone who crossed her path.
Always encouraging, even on the day of her death she could be heard saying, “I love you,” even to those she barely knew, and she meant it.
She was known as a great hostess, serving fabulous homemade meals.
She thoroughly enjoyed quilting, painting, reading and gardening. And music, yes, she loved to sing, and although her mind was failing, she could still remember the words to many old hymns.
Priscilla was a woman of great Christian faith and character, living as a Godly example for all to follow.
Priscilla and Ron’s love for people engaged them in missionary work for more than 25 years. They traveled the world, and she was held in high regard.
She was fun, inspiring, respected and a good friend.
Most of all, Priscilla loved her family.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ronald Harrington of Day Creek, son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Lynda Harrington, and their children, Sabrina and Jason Sybouts and Megan and Kim Gray, greatgrandchildren Kayla, Alex, Isaac and Quentin Gray, all of Spokane, and daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Rick Miles of Day Creek.
In lieu of flowers, and because of Priscilla’s great love for worshipping God through music, the family has requested memorial gifts be sent to Day Creek Chapel designated for their worship fund, 31438 S. Skagit Highway, Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284.
A celebration of Priscilla’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Day Creek Chapel.
