Distance and field depth help Lady Sparts win conference tri-meet
The Lady Spartan track and field squad (82 points) upended Marysville-Pilchuck (77) and Monroe (30) in a conference tri-meet last Thursday afternoon.
Utilizing the point-scoring dominance of their long distance runners and the emerging depth of their throwing aggregation, the Sparts built up a solid point base that remained out of reach for the other two teams. Full Story

Shut out 5-0 by Marysville Pilchuck, the Lady Spartan fastpitch team (3- 2 in league, 6-2 overall) dropped into fourth place in the Western Conference 4A North with their second loss in league play. Full Story
Spartan netters upset by Eagles but remain league leaders
The girls’ tennis team lost their first match of the season to Arlington but defeated two other conference rivals to remain atop the WesCo 4A North with a 6-1 record.
In the last of the squad’s three matches last week, the upstart Eagles from Arlington upset the local net contingent 4-3. Full Story
