PO seeks volunteers to gather food

Dear Editor:

Volunteers are needed on Saturday May 8, when the employees of the Stanwood Post office will be helping our local food bank stock its shelves with non-perishable food items. Volunteers are needed to drive their own vehicles around specific areas in Stanwood and Camano Island, collecting food from on and around mailboxes and delivering it to the food bank.

Two person teams work best, one to drive and one to collect the food.

Instructions and signs for cars will be supplied by post office employees that morning.

With the generous dona- tions we always get from the community, and with your volunteer help, we can make this the best local food drive ever.

If you can help please call Jeanne Schei at 425- 330-9085, or contact Peggy Swendsen or Mark Eikeland at 629-3063.
