Whenever I drive by the Island County Sheriff’s office on Camano, I can’t help but see the pitiful modular that houses these brave people who keep us safe night and day. Sometimes just one and sometimes two deputies are on duty to cover all of Camano Island. Full Story

PO seeks volunteers to gather food

Volunteers are needed on Saturday May 8, when the employees of the Stanwood Post office will be helping our local food bank stock its shelves with non-perishable food items. Volunteers are needed to drive their own vehicles around specific areas in Stanwood and Camano Island, collecting food from on and around mailboxes and delivering it to the food bank. Full Story
