14-year-old boy released from Harborview

The 14-year-old victim of a March 24 traffic accident on Camano Island was released from Harborview Medical Center in Seattle at the end of March, said Susan Greg-Hanson, spokeswoman for Harborview.

The boy was struck by a truck while sitting on the shoulder near the intersection of Dan Street and Elhardt Street.

Island County Sheriff Office on Camano reported he suffered from two broken shoulders, a broken clavicle, two collapsed lungs and a lacerated liver, according to the boy’s mother.
