Coroner candidate runs as independent

A candidate for Island County Coroner, Paul Thompson has announced he will run as a Independent rather than a Democrat. A lifelong Democrat, Thompson said that politics was never an issue in his practice and will never influence the way he fulfills his professional responsibilities.

“I am now running as a proud Independent because partisan politics has no place when it comes to serving all the people with scrupulous impartiality.”
