Bryan Ross of Camano Island was found guilty of second-degree rape by forcible compulsion in Island County Superior Court last month. In laymen’s terms, Ross took his victim by whatever means necessary, against her will.

Alex Bielaga Bloom passed away peacefully March 30, 2010, while sleeping in his own bed, on Camano Island.
This may come as a surprise to those who knew Alex as he was a vibrant, active man who was always going somewhere and doing something — bowling, golfing, playing bridge. Full Story
CLARENCE S. WILSON
MARCH 15, 1921 – APRIL 1, 2010
Clarence S. Wilson, born in Clayton, Wash., March 15, 1921, went to be with the Lord April 1, 2010.
Clarence worked in the shipyards during World War II, and was fire chief at the Yakima Fire Department. He worked at Hunt Transfer Company from 1952 to 1971 and later became coowner of Everett Transfer Co., (now Evergreen Moving Systems). Full Story
CHARLOTTE PEARL (NORTHERN, SPANE) JOHNSON
AUGUsT 28, 1929 – APRIL 8, 2010
Charlotte “Charlie” was born August 28, 1929 in Hood River, Oregon, to Charles and Pearl Northern. She died April 8, 2010.
When she was young, the family moved to Seattle where Charlotte graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1948.
Soon after she met and married Victor L. Spane and they made their home in Stanwood. Full Story
