First fastpitch loss after five victories

Allowing just three hits and a single walk wasn’t quite enough to emerge with a softball win last week for Brittany Jeans and her Lady Spartan fastpitch teammates (2-1 in league, 5-1 overall).
In their only league match-up of the week, the Spartans collected six hits, but Shawna Hochstetler was the only local to smack one for extra bases – in the fifth inning.
They were also able to get runners on base every other frame except the seventh, but they were unable to bring any of them home during the course of the WesCo 4A North game.
