JOSEPH BERENS HUETER

MARCH 23, 1928 - APRIl 4, 2010

Joseph Berens Hueter passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 after a courageous battle with emphysema. He was at his home on Camano Island surrounded by loved ones.

He will be remembered as loving husband, brother, father and grandfather.

Berens was born March 23, 1928 to Joseph and Mabel Hueter of Lake Forest Park. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and then joined the Navy.

He was employed by Otis Elevator for most of his career.

Berens enjoyed gardening, watching for eagles, and whales in Puget Sound.

Berens was preceded in death by his first wife Lila, his parents, his daughter Wendy, and his sister Kay.

He is survived by Nancy his wife of 25 years, his children Jim (Karen), Diane (Donn), Janet (Mark), Tom (Cheryle), Lisa, Jay (Meredith), Laurie (Gary), Dana (Robbie), Cindy, his sisters JoAnne Walderon and Carolyn Fowble, an extended family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and an abundance of good friends.

Memorial services and a potluck dinner will start 2:30 p.m. Sunday April 11, at the Camano Senior and Community Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, on Camano Island.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to your favorite charity.
