EUGENE (LEFTY) K. WOOTTEN

SEPTEMBER 27, 1924 -APRIl 2, 2010

Eugene (Lefty) K. Wootten, age 85, went to his heavenly home on April 2, 2010.

Born on September 27, 1924 in Tacoma, Lefty was a proud Veteran who served four years in the U.S. Marines during World War II.

He was an avid baseball player and lifelong fan.

He sang faithfully in church choirs and served as an usher/greeter at the Camano Chapel for many years. He was a devout Christian and loving husband to his wife “Virginia” for more than 62 years. He was a faithful member of the Stanwood Camano Kiwanis Club.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia, his sister Janet Kimker, his three sons Dave, Don and Doug, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to the Josephine nursing home for their dedicated and caring assistance.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be given to Student Scholarship Program of the Stanwood Camano Kiwanis Club, PO Bx. 5883, Stanwood, WA 98292.

A celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 12 at the Camano Chapel on Camano Island.

Lefty will be greatly missed by all who met and knew him.
