Government

One more step toward socialism

Dear Editor:

On the national front, compulsory health care with incarceration and/or a monetary penalty if not complied with is a plan that our elected elite in Washington have mandated to us and exempted themselves from.

On the local front, the repeal of voter approved Senate Bill 6130, coupled with the initiation of H.B. 2388 (the sin tax) shows the arrogance that the current governing body has for the people of Washington state.

These events tell us that on both fronts, national and local, the current governing bodies are not breaking any new ground. Rather, they are just continuing the tax and spend mentality that has been too long prevalent in this country.

Except now with man- datory health care, they are taking this country one step closer to socialism.

Maybe time has come to address our elected elite as comrade, and the president as Mein Fuhrer?
