Stanwood
Beautiful place blessed with excellent schools and teachers
Dear Editor:
Stanwood is a lucky town.
As a Stanwood High School graduate I’m happy to have two children attending schools here, along with my nephews. Our great luck in living in this beautiful place is enhanced by the schools we are blessed with.
My son and nephews go to Stanwood Elementary School. Full Story
Health insurance
It’s mandated for autos, why not for people?
Dear Editor:
What is going on with our attorney general, Rob McKenna?
He is suing the federal government on the basis that HCR is unconstitutional, i.e., mandatory health insurance for individuals, even if it is subsidized for those on lower incomes.

Island Transit
Thanks for going the extra mile
Dear Editor:
Thank you and kudos to the helpful folks at Island Transit.
Although we’ve lived on the island several years, I’ve never had the occasion to use IT’s service until post-surgery when I could not drive.
They really go the extra mile to be helpful and I want to thank them publicly for their exceptional service. Full Story

Parents should police what students wear
Dear Editor:
As the daylight hours grow longer and the sun is seen more often, so do the dress code violations on our campus. The dress code was developed and approved a few years ago by the student body. The only thing that has changed has been the level of violations our students seem to think they can get away with. Full Story
Health care
Offer a
solution with
your opinions
Dear Editor:
Regarding your March 23 editorial, “Health care coverage for all by 2014,” these are good and valid reasons to be opposed to the legislation as passed without being part of a partisan minority. Full Story
